{5 on Friday // oh hey friday!}

Happy Friday! I’m linking up with DarciChristinaApril, and Natasha for 5 on Friday and Karli and Amy for oh hey friday. I’m still averaging approximately one blog post a week, and it seems to be this one! It’s just so easy to write up five things that have been going on, etc.  I just don’t have the time at this point to write more.  So here’s what’s been happening:)

{one} Did you know there are so many fun shops on Instagram? It’s kind of like the new Etsy! Though don’t get me wrong, I still love Etsy and shop there.  However, Instagram seems to be getting more popular.  I came across a fun IG shop called  “The Sheep Asleep” that combines books and fun handmade gifts.  So cute!

{two} Donuts…I’m not a huge donut fan unless they’re super good and homemade (I don’t like Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts…I know, I’m weird!).  I found a local donut truck up the road from us (it’s there on Saturdays), so I brought home some yummy donuts for my family.  My hubby loves donuts, so this was a fun treat for him! {three} Last weekend, we attended a fun Sparkles and Sweets event downtown.  Such fun! It was a holiday kick-off for local shops, and each store participating had fun goodies.  Some had mini quiche appetizers while other shops served gingersnaps and hot apple cider.  Harper and Will loved eating all the yummy food in each store! We also got to play at our favorite toy store:)IMG_6896.JPG

{four} Christmas books! I checked out these books from the library to kick off the fun Christmas activities that I will be doing with the kiddos:) I need to sit down and make a list of all the things I want to do with Harper and Will.IMG_6900.JPG

{five} Last Saturday, we visited our friend who lives an hour and a half away.  We spent the afternoon and evening with her and went up the mountain to check out this cool star that overlooks the city.  We also went to a fun, family style restaurant called “The Homeplace,” which was quite yummy.  Great southern cooking served family style in an old farmhouse.  Fun times!IMG_6935.JPG

This weekend, we’re just hanging out and doing stuff around the house. I need to get ready for Thanksgiving…it’s coming up soon! Yipee! Have a great weekend:)

  1. What great pictures! Your kids are so cute! I love how you go by their middle names – I do that with my son too! :)

    And I get it about having FRESH super GOOD donuts – once you have them – those chain places just CAN NOT compare!
