Spring Edition//Five on Friday

Happy Friday! I’m linking up with DarciChristinaApril, and Natasha for 5 on Friday and Karli and Amy for oh hey friday. I’ve been enjoying my two day “spring break.”  We were supposed to have the entire week off but had to use three of the spring break days as make-up snow days.  Not fun, but we’re squeezing as much fun in as possible in our two days off:)

{one} Yesterday, I made the kiddos an egg carton lunch, which they loved! Basically, it’s a variety of bite size food in individual plastic eggs served in an egg carton.  Harper and Will each picked out six eggs in their favorite colors and I stuffed them with cheese, raisins, almonds, mac and cheese, apricots, and beans.  It was such a hit that I’ll be making them another “egg carton” lunch today:)

{two} The weather was gorgeous yesterday….a little windy but in the low 70s! I took the kiddos to our local park where we played on the playground and explored the work at the duck pond.  The pond was recently drained and the park is cleaning it up. We watched the heavy equipment dig out tons of muck and haul it away.  We even got to feed the ducks…a mother and her daughter shared their duck food with us:)IMG_9905.JPG

{three} Is anyone else obsessed with their Fitbit? I got mine last summer and have been hooked on it ever since.  My goal is to get at least 10,000 steps a day, which isn’t too hard since I walk a lot at school.  My least active day is typically Sunday, but I’ve been trying to get more active and meet my step goal.  Let me know if you’re Fitbit obsessed and would like to be a Fitbit friend!

{four} Spring flowers! I’m loving these pretty purple hyacinths in our flower garden.  Lovin’ spring!

{five}  Look at the cute Easter baskets!  Will made his last year in preschool and Harper got to make one last week when we visited the 3 year old preschool class that she will attend next year.  So fun! Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
